I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
